F3 STAFF GETTING KIDS EXCITED ABOUT GEOLOGY
This past summer our team spent many countless in the field putting in hard work, however we believe in still making time for family, friends, and community.
During our time in Piedmont, South Dakota, the F3 staff had the opportunity to partner with the Piedmont Valley Library’s “Library Rocks!” program, volunteering to read to kids and show-and-tell minerals as part of their summer programming.
Our geologist’s had fun speaking to 60+ kids about how geology is important for all aspects of our lives…from green energy, electric cars and various aspects of daily life.
“Getting kids engaged and watching them light up with interest is the biggest reward of this job.”
F3 PROJECT GEOLOGIST
F3 Gold took part in the “Library Rocks!” summer program, reading to kids and doing a mineral show-and-tell, at the Piedmont Valley Library on July 19, 2018.
“I just wanted to say thank you for all that you and your geologists did to make yesterday’s summer reading program activity day a success. Aubrey and Michael were great and the kids had an amazing time! The mineral samples were especially appreciated by all involved – especially by the kids. Again, thank you all for your service to this community yesterday”
