Inspiring The Next Generation With SCIENCE!  

F3 Gold is excited to share that we’ve renewed our partnership as a donor to the 2019 Kids Campaign, which sponsors kids for various programming and Camp opportunities at the YMCA of Rapid City.

Last year we were able to sponsor 30 kids to participate in youth programs throughout the year, including day camp activities. This year’s support will again help another 30 area youth experience the exciting programming the YMCA has to offer.

The most rewarding aspect of our partnership with the YMCA is getting to teach the kids all about rocks! For the 2nd year in a row, our technical team led by project geologist Aubrey Lee has developed a geology curriculum for the 2019 summer season at YMCA’s Giraffic Park Kids Camp. 

Aubrey and her team help out at the camp throughout the summer teaching kids all about geology with interactive, hands-on activities. The most important objectives of the curriculum are demonstrating how cool science and the natural world really are, and having fun!

In addition to their program support, F3 has donated a collection of rocks & minerals from the Black Hills to help contribute to their outdoor education and STEM curriculum and provide hands-on learning materials for the youth.
