Global pandemic highlights the strength of people, the fragility of the global economy

Rob Bergmann, President

As the global COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, our focus at F3 Gold remains on the well-being of our people – the staff, partners and communities that make our business possible. As we face these challenging times together, our thoughts are with those directly impacted and we are grateful for all who are helping to keep our communities strong, safe and healthy.

In the immediate term, our collective health and safety is the foremost priority. We continue to monitor daily updates and recommendations provided by the CDC and the state departments of health in Minnesota and South Dakota, and we are adapting accordingly.

“Despite the many negative and drastic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we as leaders of our businesses and communities choose to remain positive. Just as fear can be contagious, so too is calm, steady, compassionate leadership.”

Despite the many negative and drastic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we as leaders of our businesses and communities choose to remain positive. Just as fear can be contagious, so too is calm, steady, compassionate leadership. While our day-to-day workflow must adapt, we are committed to our foundational approach to business – one that meets adversity with resolve and resiliency, so that we may come out stronger and better equipped for the next challenge.

If these challenging times have revealed anything, it is how strong we can be as a people, and how vulnerable our global economy can be when it comes to supply chain disruptions. We are more committed than ever to discovering domestic sources to meet our nation’s strategic metal and mineral needs. We cannot afford to trust our nation’s safety and security to the fluctuations of unstable global markets.

In the Black Hills, our work is forging on and we will continue to stay focused on advancing the science of exploration geology while maintaining the safety and security of our team.  The U.S. Forest Service and Barr Engineering continue their important work conducting an environmental assessment of our drilling proposal, and we look forward to getting back into the field when things get back to normal.

Brighter days are ahead. In the meantime, stay safe and be well!
